Pedro 1\u00ba, ent\u00e3o Imperador do Brasil, proclamou o grito de independ\u00eancia consolidando o Brasil como uma na\u00e7\u00e3o independente. O pa\u00eds at\u00e9 ent\u00e3o, era col\u00f4nia de Portugal, e seu territ\u00f3rio pertencia ao pa\u00eds europeu.
